Godson Afekhare Agbadua Foundation Quiz competition for 8 Public Secondary Schools in Akoko Edo LGA, Edo State - June 21, 2023

In a bid to support the less privileged in having access to good education, The Godson Afekhare Agbadua Foundation has presented cash and educational materials to pupils of Public Schools in Akoko Edo LGA of Edo State, Nigeria in a quiz competition held in Enwan Mixed Secondary School.

Eight public schools participated in the quiz competition which include English Language, Mathematics, and General Paper.

Schools invited include Anglican Grammar School, Igarra, Comprehensive High School, Igarra, Okpe Mixed Grammar School, Okpe, Ojirami Mixed Secondary School, Ojirami, Enwan Mixed Secondary School, Enwan, Okpameri Grammar School, Ibillo, Ososo Grammar School, Ososo and Igarra Girl's Grammar School, Igarra.

Comprehensive High School came first while Anglican Grammar School and Igarra Girl's Secondary School came second and third positions respectively. Consolidation prizes were also given to all schools that participated.

 

While speaking on behalf of the organizers, Mr. Jamani Joseph thanked the participant for honoring the invitation. "The whole idea behind this is to keep the legacy of our late brother who love education and was always ready to support the education of his siblings, friends, and others. I call on other meaningful sons and daughters of Akoko Edo to support the less privileged to acquire education". He also thanked the Agbadua's family, friends, and partners for supporting the foundation.

 

Participants thanked the Organizers for giving support to the less privileged. They describe the idea as very motivating and assured that they will make judicious use of the cash prizes and learning materials that were presented to them. In the same vein, the coordinators and various teachers from the invited schools described the process as very credible.

 

‎Until the death of Mr Godson Afekhare Agbadua, a renowned Educationalist, his last place in the Education environment was the University of Benin where he taught as a lecturer.
